Developing and scaling up breakthrough technologies and game changing innovations: European Innovation Council Info Day in Sofia

With a dedicated budget of €10.1 billion, the European Innovation Council (EIC) is the most ambitious innovation flagship initiative in Europe aimed at supporting the most talented European innovators in the fast and effective scaling-up of breakthrough, disruptive innovation. The EIC, often dubbed as the 'European unicorn factory' is a one-stop-shop for breakthrough innovators, providing support from the idea to the market, from early advanced research to commercialisation and scale-up.
The EIC Info session in Sofia will particularly focus on EIC Accelerator Scheme, which supports start-ups and SMEs to develop and scale up deep-tech and disruptive innovative products or services at the advanced technological level (TRL 6-9). To the most talented innovators in Europe, EIC provides support through a combination of grant financing ( up to €2.5 million for innovation development costs) and equity investments (of up to €15 million).
During the Info Day, EIC representatives will provide detailed explanation on the various available funding schemes, and application process. The programme will be complimented by testimonials from successful EIC beneficiaries from Bulgaria and presentation from a representative of the Bulgarian Ministry of Innovation and Growth on the national support of EIC Seal of Excellence companies. The info day will conclude with session on pithing techniques and pitch deck preparation.
The event is organised by the European Innovation Council and the GIS-TransferCenter, partner in EC HE funded project Access2EIC
